Joan O’Neill is a graphic designer delivering creative, innovative and engaging solutions to communication problems across brand identity, print, packaging, environmental and digital.
After graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2001 with a B.S. in Graphic Design, she combined her 10 years of business experience managing retail merchandising with her graphic design experience to create her own design studio. She quickly found her niche providing graphic design services to small businesses and non-profits in the Twin Cities area.
In 2013 she made a big leap to live in Sydney, Australia; her husband’s hometown and where her adult children reside. Since then she’s provided contract design services all over the city and surrounding suburbs for schools, colleges, corporations, and non-profit organisations. She’s provided software and layout training for new designers, set up templates to support the global brand for Australia’s biggest medical device corporation, as well as providing graphic design services for local clients and her clients in the Twin Cities. Whether working onsite or remotely Joan works collaboratively with businesses and organisations to get the work done on time and within budget.
Joan begins a project by understanding her client’s requirements. The brand’s personality, tone of voice, objectives, target audience and competitors are all evaluated to ensure a point of difference is created. She puts intelligent ideas at the very heart of everything she does – striving to create outstanding work that is distinctive, engaging and above all, memorable.
With a variety of experience in brand identity, print, packaging, environmental and digital, Joan is able to offer a multitude of skills to her clients. So whether the client requires a logo, a range of packaging, a website (or all of the above), she can ensure that the whole experience is positive, consistent and effective.
